Power Of Good

Not long ago, the world seemed to go through a stage when to talk about the power of good was unfashionable, as though it were too simple a concept to have merit. In recent years this has changed, undoubtedly prompted by the horrible abuse of power, authority and technology in the world today.

When faced with such things, the human consciousness reacts with simplicity, using the yardstick it has always had - its link with the spiritual world from whence such goodness flows, in other words, Conscience. But, in this complex age where moral black and white have given way to seemingly infinite shades of grey; and perceived truth can be manipulated by powerful organisations of all natures, it is not sufficient to simply state that we should follow our conscience.  Posito Manifesto3+crystal pyramid

What is needed is a clear explanation of principles that match the complexity of modern politics and commerce, one that states where the importance of the individual lies in relation to multinational interests and the never ceasing march of technology; and one that considers the rights of the other forms of life, especially our nearest cousins, the animals, who share this planet’s biosphere with us.

To deliver such a statement is a very difficult thing to do, but the Rosicrucian Order considered it so important that, in the year 2000, its most able minds got together to create one.  It’s called the Positio, a Latin term meaning literally, “how we stand on these issues”. It’s the first such document since the Rosicrucians declared their existence to the world in the famous Rosicrucian Manifesto, The Fama Fraternitatis published in Germany in 1614.
